Geiranger is approximately 1,5 hours from Loen. The world heritage areas in the Geiranger Fjord are a great experience. Waterfalls run from the steep mountains straight into the fjord, and at the wild hairpin turns the "Ørnesvingane" you can almost loose your breath over the majestic landscape.
This area came on the Unesco world heritage list in 2005, and is recognized as one of the most special fjord areas of the world.
